Located in the beautiful Hudson Valley, the Village of Montgomery is a great place to live, raise a family, shop, and do business.

The Village of Montgomery was awarded $4.5 million in funding as one the Mid-Hudson region’s winners of the second round of New York Forward (NY Forward).

Visit the Official Montgomery NY Forward Website

Launched in 2022, New York State's NY Forward program builds on the success of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) program. NY Forward focuses on invigorating and revitalizing the downtowns in smaller and rural communities—villages, hamlets, and other small, neighborhood-scale municipal centers. The State has allocated $100 million for the second round of NY Forward. Each of the State's ten Regional Economic Development Councils (REDCs) selected two communities per region to receive $4.5 million, bringing the total amount of funding allocated for all rounds of DRI and NY Forward to $1 billion.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Montgomery will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as can be heard at the Village Hall, 133 Clinton Street, Montgomery, New York 12549, to consider the application of EROL CICHOWSKI, on Referral from the Planning Board for the review of a request for an area variance from Sections 122-5A (Dimensional Regulations) of the Village of Montgomery Zoning Code to allow for site plan approval for the two lot subdivision, where the rear yard setback of Lot 1 would be 16.8 feet instead of the required 25 feet, and where the front yard setback of Lot 2 would be 0.80 feet instead of the required 25 feet.

The property is located at 81 Union Street in the Village of Montgomery and is designated on the Tax Maps as Section 206, Block 1, Lot 9 and is located in the R-5A (1 Family) Zoning District.
