Lecture at 2pm - Presentation by Joseph Devine Learn about John Van Arsdale, the Montgomery lad who served throughout the Revolutionary War. John Van Arsdale’s courage and ingenuity brought our War of Independence to a thrilling conclusion as the British were to depart from America. With General George Washington, Governor Clinton and tens of thousands watching, Van Arsdale foiled the last British act of defiance on our soil. His actions brought loud cheers from the assembled throng. Listen to this wonderful piece of local and American history. Relax in our Memorial Garden |
